Wanqin Jin
Male, professor at the School of Chemical Engineering of Nanjing Tech University, director of the State Key Laboratory of Materials Chemical Engineering, recipient of the State Council Special Allowance, head of the "National Huang Danian-style Teacher Team, 973 Chief Scientist", and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is mainly engaged in the research of membrane materials and membrane processes. He has presided over more than 10 scientific research projects, including the "973" project, major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and major scientific research instrument development projects. He has published more than 300 SCI papers in journals such as Nature, Nature Review Materials, Nature Commun., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., AIChE J., J. Membr. Sci., Chem. Soc. Rev., etc., which have been cited more than 20,000 times; published 1 monograph each in Chinese and English; obtained more than 40 authorized invention patents; served as the editor of the authoritative journal Journal of Membrane Science in the membrane field. As the first finisher, he won the first prize in natural sciences of the Ministry of Education, the first prize in science and technology of Jiangsu Province, and the first prize in technological invention of the China Petrochemical Federation. In 2018, he won the Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Innovation Award. In 2019, he was awarded the Underwood Medal in the field of separation science by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) of the United Kingdom. In 2021, he won the "Humboldt Research Award" from the German Humboldt Foundation.
